Day 49: San Francisco
UPDATE!
****
Below are three lil movies from our amazing time in San Francisco.
One of Andrew Joron reading with a backing band at Club Deluxe, one of Noelle Kocot getting her beatnik bravado on, and the last of Michael Zapruder performing a poem set to music.

Ode to Bus
Whose foot is this. Someone
else’s smell
on the pillowcase. Incredible
Cloud. Inside the devil’s teardrop.
Can’t stop thinking about her breasts –
They’re wonderful.
The sky – its wonderful. All
the people sleeping and speaking and
licking their fingers – wonderful!
Oh, Canada!
Please play it. Play the same song
Ad nauseum.
Pedestrians
Obey Your
Signals.
Early morning righteousness, Ontario.
We’ll take a left turn (she will lean
against me), we’ll use the payphone
and see
a woman standing, backlit by sunrise.
Standing in a patch of grass and candy wrappers.
Standing, pajamas, toothbrush, fretting
the barbed wire. Did you see the woodchucks
come out at dusk. In Ottawa
the squirrels were so shiny,
and black.
Very Sincerely Yours,
Rachel Kessler
Guys,
My temporary tattoo is not _that_ temporary. I have scrubbed and scrubbed and it is still refuses to come off! I take it as a sign that you must come back to SF soon.
