Dennis Held

Dennis Held is the fourth of eight children from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. He teaches at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, and is the faculty advisor to the Talking River Review. His poetry has appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Poetry, Willow Springs, and other magazines, and has been anthologized in the Pacific Northwestern Poetry Anthology. Held’s essays have been published in Poets & Writers and The Bloomsbury Review. His awards include the American Academy of Poets Prize, the Wilderness Essay Award from the University of Idaho, the Fuller Poetry Prize, and many others.
